Expertise

  • Instrumentation for nuclear/particle physics and radiation detection, signal processing, trigger logic implementation(NIM and FPGA),
    and data acquisition system construction.
  • Applications of semiconductor detectors under cryogenic environment, solid scintillator detectors, drift chamber detectors, and readout electronics.
  • Programming in C/C++ for data analysis with CERN ROOT, Monte Carlo simulation with Geant4 tool kit, and data acquisition.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-dimensional data analysis for nuclear/particle physics experiments.
  • Experienced in building and programming data acquisition system under Unix or Windows using C/C++, NI Labview, Python, and various softwares;
    structure design, managing, and processing experimental data from raw level.
  • Experienced on building high-vacuum system for cryogenic applications(down to 10s of Kelvin).
  • Solid experience in mechanical component design using FreeCAD software.
  • Two years of first-hand experience in application and programming of the ASIC and FPGA modules on PCBs for particle detectors.
  • Experience in electronics PCB designing with CADENCE toolkit, in production and assembly processes with manufacturers.
