Papers: - a draft of a paper prepared by EDITORIAL team (Yoshi Maeda and others as given in the author list) for submission to PRC - "Kaon pair production in proton-proton collisions" - is available from our home page. (NOTE: The comparison of the luminosities obtained by the Schottky method and via pp elastic scattering is still not completely finalised). --> Please have a look at the paper, and give comments and suggestions for possible changes to improve it even further, checking especially the areas of your special expertise. --> Deadline for replies regarding the above paper is 30th of September 2007. --> Please, send your comments etc., to the Editorial team and to me. After the deadline, the ET will take the responsibility to consider all input, prepare the final paper (including the author list) and then give a brief chance for further comments before submission. - The final version (i.e. corrected proofs) of Wilkin et al. "Is there an eta3He quasi-bound state?" is now on the "in print" section of the PLB WEB site. 2. Beam-Time: We had a successful one week of beam-time on the experiment "Sigma(+) production" (Exp.#171), which has finished on Monday and we are in now in the throws of preparing for the next experiment (Exp. #157, dp->He3 eta) with the polarized deuteron beam. This will start on October 8 with a MD week. Please help to make sure that all the necessary components of the ANKE+COSY system are ready in time ! 3. POF: On September 17/18 we had the Mid-term Review meeting at IKP. The outcome of this exercise has proved very positive and so we now can continue our experimental programme at COSY for the current POF period (2005-2009) and very likely beyond! Best regards, Andro
