Dear colleague,

let me inform you on the following:

1. We have recently received the proofs for the PRL 
paper - "Precision measurement of the quasi-free pn -> d\phi reaction 
close to threshold" and for the EPJ paper -  "Scalar-isovector KK(bar) 
production close to threshold".

2. We have discussed internally our planning for the coming PAC meeting
(PAC#32, November 20/21). Please note, that deadline for submission is 
4-th of October! The outcome of this dicussion is the following:

   ANKE will submit the New proposals + Beam Requests asking allocation of
beam-time for the I-half of 2007 (ABS in, experiments compatible with ABS):

- New Proposal/BR for "Measurement of the d(pol)p(pol) Charge-Exchange Reaction
with Polarized Beam and Target" (4 weeks in total, 2 weeks beam-time request). 
Responsibles: A.Kacharava, F.Rathmann, C.Wilkin

- Beam Request (BR) for approved proposal "phi production in medium (#147.2)". 
5 weeks beam-time request in ONE block. Responsibles: M.Hartmann, Yu.Kiselev

- New Proposal/BR connected with spin filtering studies at COSY 
"Do electrons affect the polarization of a stored proton beam ?"
2 weeks (MD) beam-time request together with COSY crew. 
Responsible: D.Oellers/F.Rathmann

  ANKE will submit the New proposal + Beam Request asking allocation of
1 week beam-time for the II-half of 2007 (cluster target measurement): 
"Sigma(+) Hyperon Production at ANKE". Responsible: Yu. Valdau

 For the allocation of the beam-time's for the approved proposals (PAC#31,
proposals: #157, #158 - cluster target measurements) in the II-half of 2007,
ANKE will submit BR to the next PAC#33 session.

3. We have had a very successful workshop "Spin in Hadron Physics"
in the first week of September in Tbilisi. The talks given at this 
meeting will be available on-line by the end of September via web page
http://www.fz-juelich.de/ikp/cgswhp/cgswhp06/talks/talks.shtml

We have plans to organize a 2-days meeting on 'Future Experiments on 
Omega Production at COSY', in Dresden at 19-20 of October 2006. 
In case of your interest, please, contact with the principal organizer of 
this meeting Ralf Schleichert.

4. IMPORTANT:
Recently, we got request from Dr. Olaf Felden (o.felden@fz-juelich.de),
who is managing safety conditions at COSY environment, to return the 
magnetic cards which is missing for the following persons from ANKE: 
Nikolai Zhuravlev (Nr. 122), Alexander Volkov (Nr. 88), Vladimir Komarov
(Nr. 95), Oleksandre Petrus (Nr. 84), Sergey Yaschenko (Nr. 128), and 
George Macharashvili (Nr. 127).

Please, help us to get back those magnetic cards in Juelich ASAP.
