"Phi-meson production in pp collisions"; the talk will be given by M.Hartmann. 2. "Observation of an excited hyperon state in pp collisions with ANKE at COSY-Juelich"; talk by I.Zychor. Note that in both cases there possibly is exciting physics involved since there are indications for "exotic" resonances: 1. There is a narrow structure in the (phi-proton) system at a mass of ~1965 MeV; 2. We have found evidence for an excited hyperon state at a mass of ~1475 MeV. A draft of a letter for PRL is in preparation on the latter topic. This will be available tomorrow on our web page http://www.fz-juelich.de/ikp/anke/en/publications.shtml. As usual, everybody is asked to read this draft and to send his/her comments until the end of the week. In particular, the list of authors should be carefully checked. Please let me know your suggestions for additional co-authors also until the end of this week. Thank you! The deadline for submission of abstracts for the DPG spring meeting 2005 is on November 8. Please send me the titles of your planned contribution(s) on ANKE related topics as soon as possible in order to allow for a timely coordination. Best regards, Markus Buescher
