Papers: - a draft of the paper prepared by EDITORIAL team (T. Rausmann et al.,) for submission to PRC (Brief Reports) - "Precision study of the dp->He3 eta reaction for excess energies between 20 and 60 MeV" - is available from our home page. --> Please have a look at the paper, and give comments and suggestions for possible changes to improve it even further, checking especially the areas of your special expertise. --> Deadline for replies regarding the above paper is 18 of May 2009. --> Please, send your comments etc., to the editorial team and to me. After the deadline, the ET will take the responsibility to consider all input, prepare the final paper (including the author list) and then give a brief chance for further comments before submission. - a paper - "Measurement of the isospin-filtering dd->He4 K+K- reaction at Q=39 MeV" - prepared by EDITORIAL team (X. Yuan et al.,) has been submitted in EPJ A and also is available from our home page. - the PRL paper - "Observation of an 'ABC' effect in proton-proton collisions"- has been accepted and will be published soon. CONGRATULATIONS ! - there are several drafts in preparation: (i) on the precise COSY beam momentum determination (P. Goslawski); (ii) on the deuteron breakup pd->(pp)n study at GeV energies (Dubna group); (III) on Sigma(+) cross section measurements (Yu. Valdau), and others ... 2. Beam time: we have successfully fineshed the measurements with the polarized proton beam and deuterium cluster target (Exp#192 - S.Dymov). THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS to the COSY crew for the success in providing the proton beam with high degree of polarization and intensity ! 3. ANKE Physics Workshop: we have had very productive discussions about the ANKE physics program for the coming years. As an outcome of this meeting, we have agreed to continue finalizing old measurements and preparing new proposals/beam requests. 4. PAC#37 according to the internal discussions there are 3 documents (only from ANKE) in preparation: - old ANKE proposal #195 - "Investigation of FSI in the pd->He3 K+K- reaction near threshold" (Spok. A.Dzyuba), for resubmission and beam time request for the coming beamtime period (2 weeks, Resp. for submission A.Dzyuba); - new Proposal/BR on the measurement of the cross sections and analysing powers for pp elastic reaction using STT system and Schottky technique (2 weeks, Resp. for submission D.Chiladze); - new Proposal/BR for commissioning of the polarized deuterium cell-type target at ANKE using nuclear reactions (1 week, Resp. for submission K.Grigoryev). Please, keep in mind that the probable deadline for submission of the documents is July 24-th, 2009. 5. Dubna Workshop (20/27 June): we are now in a process to start the visa application procedure and for that we are waiting for the official invitation letter from Dubna. For the participants flying only to Dubna (20/06) and back to Germany (27/06) we have already started to book the flight tickets. Please, have a look once more at the program on the workshop web-site and send your comments/suggestions. Best regards, Andro Kacharava
