Dear colleagues,

let me inform you on the following:

1. Papers:
 - we finaly have received the review reports (from the second round) on our PR ST-AB 
   paper - "High precision beam momentum determination in a synchrotron using a spin 
   resonance method", with a suggestion for a few change. To satisfy the referees
   suggestions, the modified version is in preparation and the paper will be
   resubmitted on Monday.

 - we have received the positive statement from referee on our PRC paper -  
   "Deuteron breakup pd->{pp}n with forward emission of a fast 1S_0 diproton",
   with a suggestion for the specific revisions of the figures to conform to
   the style of the Physical Review. The modified version will be prepared and 
   submitted by editorial team during the next days. 
   
Those who are interested in the report, please contact Frank Rathmann. 

 - The new/improved version of 'Sigma+' paper (Yu. Valdau et al.,) still in
   preparation stage and intended for submission during the Colins next stay in
   Juelich (February 5-12). The most recent version is available from Yuri Valdau.

2. ANKE upgrade:
   During the January maintenance week, there was the possibility to exchange 
   the existing windows (positive and forward side) of the ANKE chamber with the 
   new ones (the exact spare copies). With the new windows the vacuum in the
   chamber has been improved by about factor of five.

   The earliest time for exchange of the ABS target with the cluster one, is forseen
   in calendar week #10. 

3. Annual report:
   Please, prepare your promised articles which could be identified from 
   the list available on ANKE web! The deadline for individual 
   one page annual report contributions is middle of February !
   Please, send me ASAP the titles (at least) of your contributions.
