Happy New Year and a good start in 2009 !

let me inform you on the following:

1. Papers:

 - a draft of the paper prepared by (ANKE/PAX) EDITORIAL team 
   (Hans-Otto Meyer et al.,) for submission to PLB - "Polarizing a stored
   proton beam by spin flip ?" - is available from our home page. 

--> Please have a look at the paper, and give comments and
    suggestions for possible changes to improve it even further,
    checking especially the areas of your special expertise.
--> Deadline for replies regarding the above paper is 23-rd of January 2009.
--> Please, send your comments etc., to: meyer1@exchange.iu.edu,
    lenisa@mail.desy.de, F.Rathmann@fz-juelich.de, H.Stroeher@fz-juelich.de 
    and to me.

After the deadline, the ET will take the responsibility to consider all
input, prepare the final paper (including the author list) and then
give a brief chance for further comments before submission.

 - a paper - "Neutron-proton charge-exchange amplitudes at 585 MeV "- 
   (D. Chiladze et al., ) has been resubmitted to EPJ A.

 - a paper - "Measurement of the pn->dK+K- total cross section close 
   to threshold" (Y.Maeda et al.), has been resubmitted to PRC.

2. Annual Report:
   The FINAL deadline for the 'last minute'-corrections for individual 
   one page annual report contributions is 31-st of January (!).
