The reviewers - Profs. E.Grosse (GSI, Darmstadt), U.Lynen (GSI, Darmstadt), K.Rith (University Erlangen), R.Santo (University Muenster), E.Steffens (University Erlangen) - will meet here in the IKP and we will prepare a few written reports as well as oral presentations. In order to keep you informed about all matters related to this review I have collected some files for you on our ANKE ftp server. You can find these files in the directory /pub/ikp2/anke/review_96 (see also ANKE NEWS #1 for the logon procedure). Some of the files are in Word-For-Windows rtf format. The list of talks (and written contributions) which will be prepared as well as the list of speakers (authors) can be found in the file 'agenda'. The written contributions must be send to the reviewers on Febr.14. As soon as they are ready I will also store them on our ANKE server. R.Koch has estimated the luminosity which can be expected at TPA with a Carbon-foil target. It turned out that our 'standard' value for the effective Luminosity of L = 4 x 10^32 cm^-2 s^-1 is still correct. Soon, there will be a short text describing the calculation on our ANKE server. You can find it under: '/pub/ikp2/anke/memos/sim_050296_1.ps'. R.Schleichert has finished the design of the constant-fraction discriminators and ordered the components. We want to have the discriminators ready (including tests) on Dec. 1. We will build 21 modules which corresponds to 336 channels. 154 channels are foreseen for the side telescopes, 24 for the Gatchina wall, 34 for the forward detectors and 35 for the backward counters. The K- detectors have not been considered yet but it should be possible to cover them with the spare channels which will not be needed for the other counters. Best regards, Markus Buescher
