Dear colleagues,

  a draft of the PRL paper prepared by EDITORIAL BOARD 
  (Timo Mersmann and others as given in the author list)
  "Precision study of the eta-He3 system using dp->He3eta reaction" 
  is available from our home page.

--> Please have a look at the paper, and give comments and
    suggestions for possible changes to (further) improve it,
    checking especially the areas of your special expertise.
--> Deadline for replies to the above paper is 8-th of January'07.
--> Please, send your comments etc., to Timo Mesrmann and Colin Wilkin.

After the deadline, the EDITORIAL BOARD will take the responsibility to
consider all input, prepare the final paper and aim to submit it without
further iteration.

NOTE: The absolute normalization of the cross section in Fig.4
is not yet final !

2006 certainly was a successful year for the ANKE collaboration:

- We have published and submitted a number of papers (around 10).
  A bunch of additional papers is in the making: "Mersmann", "Chiladze", 
  "Valdau", "Dzyuba", ....
- Andreas and Irakli's PhD  was successfuly completed, CONGRATULATIONS!; 
- We had a very successful CGSWHP'06 workshop in Tbilisi (September);
- The new proposals and requested beam-times from
  the ANKE/PAX-collaboration were approved by COSY-PAC in November 2006. 

The ANKE-collaboration have "lost" important person - Yoshi Maeda, due to 
he "moved on" with the new position at RCNP.
- We want to take this opportunity to again thank Yoshi for his contributions
  to the success of ANKE!

As a brief outlook to 2007, we would like to remind you on our upcoming beamtimes
in January and February/March and on the date for the next PAC-meeting (3/4 May).
- In order to be (as) successful in allocating additional beamtimes for 2007 
  (as in the past), very well prepared proposals/BR have to be submitted. 

Also please keep in mind the ANKE/PAX collaboration meeting 
that we plan to have in Ferrara end of May.

Finally, we would like to thank all of you for your efforts, dedication and
hard work on hard-, soft-, and "paper-ware" for ANKE.
