Dear colleague,

let me inform you on the following:

1. PAC:
during the last PAC meeting (#32) the following beam time has been 
allocated for the next COSY beam-time period for ANKE/PAX:

allocated:
#172.0 (ANKE)     "C-E breakup" -               1 week
#147.2 (ANKE)     "phi in medium" -             5 weeks
#169.0 (ANKE/PAX) "depolarization studies" -    2 weeks

New proposal (#171) on sigma (+) prduction: -  physics case approved,
but BT request should be updated and resubmitted for the next PAC (2/3 May'07).
 
The new beam-time schedule (January 2007 - August 2007) is available

2. Beam-Time:
we had very successful 1 week beam-time on experiment #125.2 (C-E breakup).
During this beam-time we also took in parallel good data on the high momentum
transfer breakup reaction, as well as on dp->He3 pio and dp elastic 
(last one using silicon detector system) reactions.

This experiment will be repeated in January'07 with polarized beam and target 
(cell + H2 from ABS). Preparatory work for this beam-time:
1 MD week + 1 commissioning week (#146.2, #159) + 1 data taking week (#172)
(in total 3 weeks) is on the way.

3. Papers:
 - The "pentaquark" paper (M.Nekipelov et al.) was rejected by EPJ and
now the updated version for submission to the "Gournal of Physics G" has been
prepared. Please, have a look at the paper, and give comments and
suggestions for possible changes until 11-th of December.

 - The "omega" paper (S.Barsov et al.) has been reviewd by 2 referee. 
One referee was positive, second one still asks for additional changes. 
We are now in the process to resubmit the paper a second time.
 
4. DPG:
Please, note that the dead-line for submission of the abstracts 
is December 8 !!!

5. Annual Report:
We have started to collect articles for the Annual Report of the IKP. 
These articles should be prepared until the end of January.
Please, take into account sufficient time for proof-reading.
