Papers: - the "sigma(+)" paper (Yu.Valdau et al.) has been published in PLB 652, 245-249 (2007). CONGRATULATIONS to Yury and all collaboration ! - we have received two positive and encouraging reply's for the PLB paper - "Is there an etaHe3 quasi-bound state?" with minor comments from referee. Paper has been resubmitted with some small modifications AND has been accepted immediately! CONGRATULATIONS to Colin and all team ! - we have also got finaly (after 3 months delay!) the referee reports on the PRL paper -"Shape of the lambda(1405) hyperon measured through its \Sigma^(o)\pi^(o) decay", prepared by EDITORIAL Team (ET) (I.Zychor et al.,). Neither referee criticised our experiment and/or its analysis, though several comments were made on presentational issues. Referee A is strongly in favour of its publication in PRL, whereas Referee B does not believe that the work is of sufficient general interest to the wider Physics audience. The ET worked out the revised version of the paper and resubmitted it to PRL, reasking for the third referee. The resubmitted version of the paper you can find from our home page. - the preparation of the DRAFT of PRC paper - "Kaon pair production in proton-proton collisions"- is in progress. The main results of the paper has been discussed on the analysis meeting presented by Colin Wilkin on 17 of August at IKP. - the next analysis meeting devoted to the status of the pd break-up data (2003) handling, scheduled on 28-th of August, at IKP, 10:00. S.Dymov and G.Macharashvili will report the current analysis results. Based on these results, it is planned to prepare DRAFT of the extended paper (PRC option) in late October. 2. Beam-Time: now we are in the preparation of 1(MD)+1(BT) week beam-time for the proposal "Sigma^+ production" (EXP.#171, Spokesperson Yu. Valdau)), which will start at September 3. This is the first BT after the long COSY shutdown period and, please, consider to get all components of ANKE system ready in time. 3. PAC: we are open for internal discussion about which new Proposals/Beamtime requests from ANKE/PAX will be presented at the upcoming PAC (session #34, Nov. 26/27). At least formal BR for approved proposal "Study of omega meson production in pn(d)->d omega reaction at ANKE" (Exp.#175, R.Schleichert, S.Barsov) should be sended. Please, keep in mind that DEADLINE for the submission of the documents is October 17 (6 weeks before the PAC meeting) ! 4. Conferences/talks: there are two conferences during the same week - September 10 to 14: - Meson conference MENU'07 in FZJ; - and International workshop PST'07 in BNL (USA). From ANKE collaboration around 10 talks are accepted for these conferences. Please, take care about the preparation of the oral talks as well as posters in time and in good shape. As usual, there will be the test talks. 5. POF: in September 17/18 there will be the Mid-term Review meeting at IKP. The document about scientific results and perspectives of IKP-FZJ in the first POF period (2005-2009) is available from the IKP home page. Best regards, Andro
